Maybe it’s the warm welcome, but that would be too obvious. Or perhaps it’s the curiously eclectic mix of antique and contemporary. It probably has a lot to do with the food. Whatever it is that makes Pleasant Places such a favourite with its regular and repeat guests, you need to come and experience it first hand. Breathe it in, savour the moment…catch your breath.

Tuck in…

Breakfasts of repute...Special dietary requirements catered for...Dinners served when booked in advance. Our guest book is filled with compliments about our food, but, to be honest, its’ far better to eat the food at Pleasant Places than read about it, save to say that Linda and her kitchen devotees deserve the chef’s hat emblem recently awarded…they covet happy diners and their empty plates. The wines are pretty good too, with a selection of lesser known, yet fine wines at prices you won’t believe.

Sleep over…

Pleasant places has a secret...but not for long because when the word gets out about the bedrooms, their attraction could rival the food. Rooms with firm, yet soft beds, quirky walls from yesteryear, textures and colours to relax the senses – all combine to provide a welcome sanctuary. Don’t rush off home…sleep over another night.

Step out…

Make no mistake, you’re in the country. The Lidgetton valley, part of the Lidgetton conservancy, has numerous footpaths which lure you further and further as they wend their way through the countryside. Occasionally the Lions River comes into view down the valley, tempting you away from the forest glades. The best advice is to keep returning to ensure you haven’t missed anything. At least this way you can work your way through the dishes offered

Located in the beautiful Lidgetton Valley, we have so much to offer in this magnificent part of South Africa. Tourists are looking at this country through different eyes since enjoying the Football during the 2010 World Cup.
